Tecnatom is an engineering company that was set up in 1957 and that carries out activities in more than thirty countries.

The company's main activity centers on the rendering of the following services:

• training of the operating personnel of industrial facilities,
• component inspection and structural integrity,
• operating aid engineering for electricity generating plants and complex industrial facilities

METALSCAN Tecnatom Group is specialised in Ultrasonic or Eddy Currents Non Destructive Testing devices and services.

GERIM platform has been launched the 20th of February 2008 at CEA facilities in Saclay.

Supported by the Ile de France region, GERIM gathers industrial companies and research labs in a unique NDT experimental facility in Europe. It gives its partners access to advanced NDT instruments. Among others, GERIM participating organisation can share within the platform various Phased Array Systems (UT Low frequency, UT programmable transmitters, UT 256 channels, ECT), probes (both Ultrasonic and Eddy Current Techniques) and a robot allowing complex geometry scanning.

M2M actively participates to this platform by supplying Phased Array UT and ECT equipments as well as its technical support for an efficient use.

CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.

CEA/LIST, the NDT department, develops CIVA sofwtare which is a simulation platform dedicated to Non Destructive Testing, composed of Simulation, imaging and signal processing for UT, ECT and X-Rays.
