M2M was born from the Multi2000 joint venture which gathered three main French SMEs in the NDT field and the CEA. Largely supported by major French industrials companies and the French Government, Multi2000 benefited from technology transfer from the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), one of the largest research institutes in Europe.

M2M was created in November 2003 when the Tecnatom Group strengthened the shareholding. Today M2M’s staff is 19 people (15 engineers or PHD) and its technical skills are electronics, software engineering, physics and material science.

All technical solutions and products make use of latest software and hardware developments, and M2M benefits from CEA experience through CIVA NDT simulation tools and a close R&D partnership, for both Ultrasonic and Eddy current testing processes.

M2M systems are modular and versatile in order to satisfy to a wide range of applications from laboratory to production line, and even field inspection, with dedicated interfaces fitting to expert and end users needs.

M2M software integrates CIVA NDT simulation modules developed by CEA. Thanks to CIVA, M2M systems can be used, with the same level of simplicity to treat simple configuration as well as very complex ones (Advanced phased array design, CAD geometries, complex material structure, smart & flexible array transducers...). More over CIVA can be used to simulate testing configurations and to design specific array probes before manufacturing. Focal laws simulated by CIVA are automatically transferred to the hardware whose flexibility allows all combinations.

M2M benefits from a close collaboration with CEA, gathering advanced NDT processing, innovative transducers and latest CIVA upgrades.

M2M also collaborates with other large research groups in various industrial fields as Tecnatom Group, EADS Innovation Works, the Vallourec Research Centre and other R&D programs in Europe.

These collaborations ensure the latest technological breakthroughs to be integrated inside M2M systems.
